The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement & Supply Chain Apprentice to join our growing business and develop their understanding of the end-to-end supply chain process, enabling them to support us across different functions including procurement, Stores, and Logistics.

Throughout the two-year programme, the apprentice will gain an understanding of procurement theory, along with practical on the job training that will provide the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to enable them to make an immediate contribution to their future employer and career.

Key aspects of the apprenticeship

  • 2 year apprentice training programme, understanding the foundations of procurement.
  • Training and self-study within working hours.
  • CIPS advanced certificate in procurement and supply operations Level 3.
  • Rotational programme through Procurement, Logistics & Stores.
  • Support with the effective and efficient (Cost, Quality, Compliant & On-time) procurement of parts, components and materials.
  • Learn, understand and adhere with all applicable aviation regulations, trade controls and international standards.

Experience / skills / qualifications

  • Interest in procurement and supply chain processes and principles
  • Dedicated and motivated to successfully complete the training programme.
  • Good communicator, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Good collaborator and team player.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, assertive and resilient with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to achieve commitments to cost and schedule.
  • Able to think creatively in order to solve complex problems.
  • Financial and commercial awareness.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office software and other Company Software as required.
  • Must meet UK Government entry requirements for level of apprenticeship – Required.
  • Able to hold an SC-Level security clearance – Required.
