Job description

Role Purpose

The Electrical/Mechanical engineer will support the Site Services Team carrying out maintenance and installation work on fixed wiring systems, mobile plant, machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out testing and inspection of fixed wiring systems within Draken property.
  • Carry out safety and compliance testing and maintenance of single and three phase electrical systems including emergency lighting systems, power and lighting, plant, and equipment.
  • Installations of electrical and IT circuits
  • Fault finding of all plant, equipment, and electrical systems
  • Mechanical maintenance of plant and machinery
  • Respond in a timely manner to site emergencies e.g., fire/ intruder alarm activations
  • Part of the standby/ call out rota for buildings, alarms, and breakdown emergencies
  • Ability to travel and work at other Draken sites as required
  • Carry out any other task requested by the Draken Management team
  • Deputise for the SSM in his absence

Core Skills

Communication and Knowledge Sharing

  • City and guilds 2360 or equivalent part 1+ 2 electrical installations
  • City and Guilds 2381 18th edition regs
  • City and guilds 2391 testing and inspection
  • Experience in mechanical and engineering maintenance
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Basic IT skills
